Lebin

Miners work a winch on a lebin, or square shafted mine, lifting gem-bearing gravels their colleague has loaded some 20 meters below. The panel behind the miner's head reflects sunlight to the depths of the shaft, the diggers only source of light.
Statues of monks make a never-ending pilgrimage to the mile-high top of Daw Nan Kyi Hill, in Kyat Pyin, the western edge of the Mogok valley.
